Let me help you get out of your own way, and out of the way of your clients.
I help health & wellness professionals take the drama out of behavior change – for their clients and themselves.
You might be a health coach, a nutrition coach, a strength coach. Maybe you’re a personal trainer, a gym owner, a yoga teacher, or a Pilates instructor.
You probably help your clients lose weight, and eat better. But you also know this is about more than macros or workouts.
You help people live better – more in line with their values, more in line with who they are. That’s an important job.
I help you do that better.
By asking the right questions. By knowing when to support and when to challenge. By helping your clients reach their own conclusions.
Coaching creates change.
Great coaching creates deep change. Deep impact. Deep health.
If you’re looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do, that won’t be me.
That would be just like handing someone their macros and a training plan and sending them on their way. That’s NOT coaching.
If you’re looking for someone to help you sharpen your tools, get clear on your direction, and show up better for yourself and your clients, you ARE in the right place.
Not new here. Probably not your first coach.

This industry doesn’t need MORE coaches. It needs better coaches.
Anyone can call themselves a coach. Few can ask the right questions to help the client facilitate their own transformation.
Your job is not to ensure grown-ass adults eat their vegetables. You are not their mom.
You are not a “well done, Susan!” cheerleader either. You don’t need to micromanage someone’s macros or give the perfect motivational speech. You need to know how to help people change. That’s the hard part— and where the ART of coaching comes in.
My origin story started in academia – research thesis, PhD level stats, international conferences. But I missed helping people actually CHANGE. I wanted to be part of the implementation, not just theory.
Now I use theory and research to inform and guide the client-centered implementation. My coaching is rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and MI (motivational interviewing).
As a coach, I am weight neutral, body neutral and trauma-informed. I don’t believe smaller is better, healthier, or more virtuous. I don’t coach people into trying to shrink themselves. I help them live better inside the bodies they already have.
My work centers curiosity, autonomy and evidence.
Hi, I’m Kate Solovieva.
Client-centered. Evidence-based. Deep health approach first and always.
You are not there to count their reps, and I am not here to tell you to “just post on Instagram”.
I was teaching behavior change at the university level before coaching was cool. I’ve been mentoring coaches since before Instagram figured out what a content pillar was. And while plenty of folks dipped out of this industry to sell real estate or work for their dad, I’ve stayed—because this is what I do best.
I’ve helped Peloton instructors add nutrition coaching to their tool belt. Trained elite coaches at Equinox. Spent over a decade (and counting) inside Precision Nutrition, coaching and teaching their certification programs.
But most of all, I’ve stayed in the trenches. Coaching. Mentoring. Keeping my finger on the pulse of the industry. Refining the messy art of helping humans get out of their own way.
This isn’t on my resume, but maybe it should be…
- Born in Siberia. Moved to Canada at 15. English is my second language. SOLO = abbreviation of my last name, my racing nickname, and my alter ego.
- Hugged strangers for two hours on my birthday once. Would do it again.
- Recovering Ashtangi. I studied yoga in India (and North America) and taught for years.
- I like peanut butter, chaos, and running absurdly long distances for fun.
- I’ve got a soft spot for large vocabularies, sticker-covered notebooks, and single-origin coffee beans.

TESTIMONIALS
Here’s what my clients say:
“When I started working with Kate, I was drowning in an overstuffed calendar and completely stuck in my career. I couldn’t see a way forward, even though I knew something needed to change. Kate gave me the clarity I was searching for—not just in my business, but in my thinking. She helped me separate fact from fear, challenged the stories I was telling myself, and reminded me of who I really am as a coach and a trainer.
Her voice is still in my head—in the best way. Her questions, her nudges (and her pushes), and her ability to get to the heart of things have been life-changing. I miss our sessions, but I carry her tools and insights with me every day. Working with Kate was one of the best decisions I’ve made.”
“When I started coaching with Kate, I was fresh out of my nutrition certification, with very little idea of what to actually do. Kate did a lot of handholding and nudging in those early days.
We covered everything from branding to niche to attracting clients, and what I appreciated most was the space Kate gave me to piece it all together in a way that felt like me. She didn’t try to stuff me into a formula—she guided me toward becoming the kind of coach I actually want to be.
It’s been amazing having Kate by my side during these career-defining first steps. I’ve skipped a whole list of wish-I-knew-that mistakes, because she’s already been there, done that, and shared the wisdom.”
“After a cross-country move, I felt completely lost. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to keep coaching—but I knew if I did, Kate was the coach I wanted to work with. One of her superpowers is helping coaches clarify what they want, and she did exactly that. She helped me feel seen in my mess, while also cutting through the crap. Kate is that rare mix of Trusted Confidant, Tough-Love Advisor, and Expert Coach. I came away feeling clearer, more confident, and finally back on my path.”
“Working with Kate helped me finally see all the invisible rules I was living by—the ones that told me how my coaching should look, and how I should eat, think, act, and even entertain myself. I realized I’d spent a lifetime asking for permission. Kate’s coaching cracked that wide open.
Through our work together, I’ve started saying a big, bold ‘no’ to the exhausting SHOULDs, and a more grounded ‘yes’ to what actually feels true for me. I’m more accepting of my desires, my quirks, and my way of doing life and business. Kate made it safe to see myself more clearly—and to be myself, unapologetically.
I’m so grateful for this work, and for the space Kate created for me to be messy, honest, and whole.”
