bad idea

Posted on January 28, 2013

When I was little, and dad would run a yellow light, he’d always say that he was showing us “what not to do”. Here’s the thing. It’s usually a bad idea to show others what not to do. Because, you know… You are not supposed to do it. Anyway… I sprained my wrist in my

Is there any upside to crawling out of your warm bed at 6am, getting into a freezing car that barely starts, gloomily staring at the thermometer that indicates -23C, and driving to CrossFit? Yes. The fact that very few people choose to do that. So few in fact that you may end up with a

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

Posted on January 5, 2013

New Year’s resolutions have been out of fashion lately… Most people seem to take pride in NOT making any resolutions as another year comes around… I LOVE these!!! 🙂 The self-experimenter in me is doing a little dance at an opportunity to start something new. (Not that you have to wait for January 1st to

Whoohooo! 40lbs - I've topped out at a pair of 30lbs for 10 reps. Not sure what I could press for 4. But those things are just so heavy to carry in one hand! I think I used to use 40-45 for the split squats, and my hands/arms would give out sooner than my legs and ass. :D

192 days – WOD (active recovery)

Posted on December 11, 2012

After really feeling it yesterday, I sort of decided today was going to be an OFF day. But after sitting in a chair all day in the midst of a marking frenzy, I realized that my body did not want an OFF day. I was simply going to feel better, if I did SOMETHING. Here’s

194 days – more typical week of WOD

Posted on December 10, 2012

I received few comments regarding the posted workouts during peak week. “Oh my god”, someone said. “There is no way I could spend over 2 hours in the gym”. Umm… yeah. Me neither. The peak week workouts were just that – PEAK week. Three brutal high-rep multi-set workouts back to back designed to deplete your
