day from hell

By SOLO

I’ve never really worked from 9 to 5, apart from short co-op stints in university. As contract college faculty, my schedule is pretty much all over the place. And I usually like it that way. Unless you ask me on a Wednesday. On Wednesdays, I hate my schedule. Three courses, I teach from 8.30am to 10pm. Ugh.

Wake up.
Coffee.
Eat.
Drive to campus.
Talk about self-awareness theory, cognitive dissonance and social comparison.
Drive to another campus.
Eat.
Talk about cognitive schemas, attachment styles and language acquisition.
Eat.
Drive to another campus.
Talk about macronutrients, basal metabolic rate and reading nutrition labels.
Drive home.
Pass out.

Hugs,
SOLO

Sounds like a fun day 😉 You are always on the move the rest of the time, this sounds like a break for you

  2. […] My Wednesdays are loooong. However, I did manage to squeeze in a workout in between. As I’m walking into the office, I’m wearing my Spartan t-shirt and running shoes. The topic of tonight’s lecture is Cardiovascular Endurance, and yes, we will be doing some cardio! As I pull up a chair for some last minute preparations, I hear someone calling my name. Turning around, I see the chair of the English department approaching. “We were just talking about you!”, she says, smiling. [Note that I do not work in English department, so I am understandably curious. Maybe my classroom shenanigans finally caught up with me?]. “My son was just watching the video of Tough Mudder, and I told him about you. Can I introduce you?”. […]

  3. […] there is no training today. Still too tired to miss the gym. Also, Wednesday, as my designated day from hell, is often an off day […]
